Decorate your walls with this beautiful wall plate. The image on the plate comes from Abraham Mignon (Frankfurt, baptized June 21, 1640 - Utrecht, March 27, 1679). Abraham was a Dutch painter of flower and fruit still lifes. This painting is on display at the Rijksmuseum but now also at your own home.

The Golden Age is a period in Dutch history in which art played an important role. 
Abraham Mignon came from a southern Dutch family that had settled in Frankfurt after the Reformation. There he was a student of Jacob Marrell, with whom he moved to Utrecht in 1664, where he became a member of the Saint Luke Guild in 1669. In the following three years, he was apprenticed to Jan Davidsz. de Heem. He married in 1675 but died at a young age. He was buried in the Buurkerk.

Abraham Mignon produced brilliant small-scale still lifes, which were highly appreciated and long imitated. They are strongly influenced by his teacher De Heem, but they are somewhat harder in line and color.
